Nyagishiru is in the Muyinga Province of Burundi. It isn't a well known coffee producing region in the country. Despite this, yagishiru processed coffee from almost 1,850 families this season. Producers received an 18% premium on top of local market rates for their harvest, and their staff earned almost 60% above the average labour rate. A testament to the work of our importing partners, Raw Material.
This natural processed coffee has bean hand-sorted is dried on raised beds for 20-25 days and turned when the sun is high. A wonderful coffee with a vibrant flavour.
